Nashville Mondays

 

Just another Monday in Nashville…

Trees are budding,

Musicians are playing in the streets,

Children are gunned down in their school.

Just another Monday in Nashville.

Second Amendment rights were exercised.

Many firearms were present.

None of the weapons used were traded to a cartel.

Thank God for that.

Now the border is more secure,

Or something.

This will be explained by Ted,

And Lauren,

And Marjorie.

I hope they meet the parents in person.

Just another Monday in Nashville…

Where a young woman has an assault rifle,

For each hand.

And a backup handgun just in case.

In case she missed with the others.

She was the pride of the NRA.

Was.

Now she’s a dead killer.

A legacy of infamy.

The new American Dream.

Just another Monday in the USA…

Tomorrow comes early…
